Development Activities
The Pacific Northwest Hydrography Framework Partners are collaborating on several development initiatives:
- The PNWHF Partnership is developing processes and procedures to support stewardship of the NHD and WBD. Current process development includes NHD Edit process, implementation of seamless NHD datasets within internal Partner environments, replication of updates from the national repository to internal Partner and PNWHF server copies, synchronization of Partner event datasets in response to NHD geometry changes. These processes and procedures will be expanded to include WBD stewardship activities as that dataset is integrated into the NHD geodatabase. Resulting documentation will be made available for download from this site as it becomes available.
- Application Development. The PNWHF is developing applications to support effective stewardship of the NHD and WBD. These applications are being developed in coordination with our national partners. Information on these applications and available downloads are provided below.
This page will provide access to pertinent status reports and documentation as these redesign projects proceed.

Data Management Tools
Hydrography Event Management (HEM) Tools: As of October 1, 2009 BLM Oregon/Washington is collaborating with the USGS on user support and future development of the Hydrography Event Management (HEM) Tools. Under an Interagency Agreement, USGS will now provide primary user support, help desk, and training. BLM will provide ongoing O&M support as well as requirements collection and programming for new versions.
